Zafar Optic (Tehran Optic):

Tehran Optic was established by Naser Yavarianfar in 1952. He was one of the first individuals that learned ophthalmic lenses manufacturing techniques under guidance of Professor Mahmoud Hessaby, he established "Tehran Optic" in Jomhuri (Naderi) Avenue of Tehran where he had latest eyewear and sunglasses collection.
He also had a separate workshop for manufacturing various ophthalmic, bifocals and prism lenses.

Driven by his success as an optician he started an importing company where he imported eyewear, sunglasses and raw optical materials from various countries such as Germany, France, Italy, USA, etc and later on he expanded his business with importing medical equipment.

Naser Yavarianfar had a high interest in progress, industrialization and art of optic hence he start a collaboration with country's "Chamber of Commerce of Iran-Italy" to exchange and update the industry and his own business field, in the following years he was selected as President of Opticians Union Of Tehran he was also the founder of Tehran's Opticians Cooperative.

In 1962 Alireza Yavarianfar as Naser's oldest son started working in the optics business as managing director of Tehran Optic. Due to interest he studied Optics and Optometry and frequented many different courses in "Carl Zeiss AG." in Germany and in 1984 a sister company, new retail store and a new workshop was born under the name of "Zafar Optic".

Alireza Yavarianfar, who had a very high interest in high-end optical lenses and eyewear started to expand the business in the field of eyewear and optics, he brought a number of various brands into iranian market as exclusive distributor such as: Sover, Look, Faberge, Silhoutte, Visibilia, Swarovski, Alberta Ferretti, Lookino, St. Dupont, Pollini, Kiton, Vuarnet, Charriol, Azzaro, Laura Biaggiotti, etc.

He is also the founder of "Optics University" post Islamic revolution and was the President of Opticians Union of Tehran From 2000 up until today and is awarded with "Zeiss Golden Medallion".

Today, Zafar Optic Co. as one of the core and leading companies in the eyewear and optics business in the country with a main shop and over 100 authorised retail stores all around the country operate as official and exclusive distributor of the following brands:
